LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that all the resources of Punjab government will be utilized for flood affectees and government will fulfill all their needs till their complete rehabilitation to their homes. He was addressing flood affectees and administrative meetings during his visit to Muzaffargarh, Sadiqabad and Rahimyar Khan on Tuesday. He said that after flood, we will reconstruct Pakistan along with the nation and new colonies, schools, dispensaries and hospitals will be established in the flood-hit areas. He said that for this purpose, not only huge funds but an environment of complete solidarity and brotherhood at national level would be required. He said that Nawaz Sharif has given a best formula to the nation for coping with flood which is being considered without any political affiliations. The Chief Minister said that besides compensation, Punjab government will also provide facilities to the flood affectees for cultivation of next Rabi crop and for this purpose, seeds, fertilizers and agri-implements will be provided to the cultivators. Similarly, waiving of loans of small cultivators should also be considered, he added. Later, while talking to media at Chowk Sarwer Shaheed, replying to a question, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that neither Punjab has received any assistance in cash nor any reply to the letter from the federal government so far. He said that incidents of theft and selling petrol on higher rates will not be tolerated in the flood hit areas. He further said that he has directed IG Punjab to stay in the flood affected districts till the removal of both the complaints.
