Development work in rural areas govt’s top priority: Mehtab Dehar

KARACHI - Provincial Minister for Revenue Jam Mehtab Hussain Dehar said on Sunday that the government wanted to bring all small cities and villages at the level of developed cities of Sindh and a network of roads was being spread in order to achieve the target. He was talking to media after visiting and reviewing newly constructed roads in Obaro.
He said that besides allocating huge development amounts in budget 2012-13 for Karachi, Hyderabad and other small and big towns had also been taken into consideration and given priority so that living standard of the people might increase. The provincial minister added that Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) did not believe in empty slogans. “Practical steps had been taken to transform the dream of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto into reality,” he said. He directed the officials concerned to take proper care of the quality of work and transparency in the construction of the roads. With the spread of road network in the area development would come and opportunities of new jobs would be created. Jam Mehtab said the Sindh government had provided jobs to millions of young men on merit and after getting success in the next general elections, PPP would continue with the good work of providing jobs to the people. “Prosperity and employment are the essential parts of PPP manifesto and whenever PPP comes into power, it gives prosperity and employment to the people,” he added.
