Commissioner Office Launches Anti-Encroachment Courts
Karachi: The Karachi Commissioner Office has established Anti-Encroachment Courts to deal with the menace of illegal occupation of public sites in Karachi.
According to a news source, these courts have been developed under six deputy commissioners who have been given authority to arrest illegal occupiers and send them to jail under the Criminal Procedure Code Section 107.
The news source reported further that the Karachi commissioner had directed the officers concerned to arrest habitual encroachers around Jinnah Hospital. The commissioner also told the deputy commissioners to start a campaign against wall chalking.
