Record of 103 housing schemes seized - Salman - 09-18-2014 11:57 AM

In order to safeguard interest of general public, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has confiscated the land record of over 103 private housing schemes, which are under the approval phase with different Town Administrations in Lahore division.

Sources said the record of 103 schemes/land sub-divisions has been transferred to the LDA and the authority has started processing of all these schemes under the prevailing rules. He said sponsors and developers of these schemes are advised to immediately stop development, advertisement and sale of plots prior to the approval of the authority or without getting an NOC of advertisement from LDA.

Sources said the land record seized by LDA included all under process private housing schemes in Town Municipal Administrations of City District Lahore, Tehsil Municipal Administrations Sheikhupura, Ferozewahla, Muridke, Safdarabad of District Sheikhupura, Tehsil Municipal Administrations, Nankana Sahib, Sangla Hill, Shah Kot of District Nankana Sahib and Tehsil Municipal Administrations Kasur, Chunian and Pattoki of District Kasur.

Director (Metropolitan Planning), CMP Wing said except LDA no other authority or Town Municipal Administration/Tehsil Municipal Administration or any local body or any other government agency is authorised to approve any private housing scheme/land sub-divisions in Lahore Division after 19.09.2013.

“Any approval granted by any other authority or Town Municipal Administration/ Tehsil Municipal Administration or any local body or any other government agency in Lahore Division, after 19.09.2013, will not be valid and lawful,” he said, adding sponsors of housing schemes and land sub-divisions are not allowed to develop the scheme without approval of LDA.

He maintained that sponsors are also not allowed to advertise any scheme or project prior to formal approval and NOC by LDA and launching/development of any scheme without LDA’s approval and publication of advertisement without obtaining NOC from LDA are illegal actions and are punishable under Lahore Development Authority Act 1975.

Sources said record of eight schemes situated in the jurisdiction of TMA Allama Iqbal Town, City District Lahore which included Imran Avenue (Mouza Manga Mandi, Khiayaban-e-Jinnah Road), Rizwan Villas (Mouza Uttar, Manga Mandi), Makkah Garden (Mouza Babliana, Raiwind Road), Industrial Warehouses, Bahria Orchard Phase-II (Raiwind Road), Bahria Town Sector-D (UBD Canal Bank Road), Bahria Town Sector-E (UBD Canal Bank Road) and Bahria Town Sector-F (UBD Canal Bank Road).

Record of 10 schemes of TMA Nishter Town, City District Lahore included Rehan Garden Phase-II (Mouza Jhulke), Abdullah Khan (Mouza Chadrai), Al-Falah Cooperative (Mouza Hier, Bedian Road), Land Sub-Division adjacent to Formanites (Mouza Wadahwah, Kamaha Road), Ali Homes (Mouza Nanger, near Nager Phatak Defence Road), Nawaz Garden (Mouza Ahloo), Al-Hamad Town Phase-I (Mouza Kamahan, Badian Road), Al-Hamad Town Phase-II (Mouza Kamahan, Badian Road), Grand Avenue Phase-II (Mouza Jhulke), Madina Garden (Mouza Gujju Mata, Ferozpur Road).

Record of 15 schemes of TMA Wahga Town, City District Lahore included Al-Wadood Garden (Mouza Lakhu Der, Near New Ring Road), Bismillah Housing Scheme (Mouza Rampura Jageer, Main GT Road), AG Developer Land Sub-Division (Mouza Rakh Chabeel, Main GT Road), Ezan Garden (Mouza Rakh Chabeel, GT Road), New Jewan (Mouza Rakh Chabeel, GT Road), Ashraf Garden (Mouza Manawan GT Road), Bilal Gunj (Mouza Kotli Ghais, Near Ring Road), Canal Forts (Mouza Manawan), Canal Fort Phase -II (Mouza Khaira, Near Sozo Water Park, BRB Canal), Ghaus Garden (Mouza Manawan), Globel Village (Mouza Sultanpura, Rampura, Batapur), Malik Irfan Garden (Hussainpura, Batapur), Sajjid Town (Mouza Tulspura, Near Jallo Park, Canal Bank Road), Mian Aziz Garden (Mouza Tulsepura, Canal Bank Road) and Noor Garden (Mouza Nutt, GT Road).

Record of 20 schemes of TMA Sheikhupura, District Sheikhupura included Shaheen City Phase-I & II (Near By-Pass, Lahore Road), Garden Town (Behind Housing Colony, Lahore Road), Touheed Park (Chichoki Mallian), Paris City (Faisalabad Bypass Road), Madni Park Phase-5 (Dhudianwala, Near Garden Town), Madni State Villas (Mouza Peerkot, Sharaqpur Road), Goshi Home (Hiran Minar Road), Gulshan-e-Iqbal (Saleem Kot, Lahore Road), Canal View (Faisalabad Bypass Road), Mazhar Town (Lahore Road), Makkah Town (Faisalabad Road), VIP City (Lahore Road), Jannat Town (Badoo Road, behind Khan Colony, Lahore Road), Al-Wadood Garden (Kahnianwala, Lahore Road), Al-Halal Town (Jaranwala Mor), Madni Garden Phase-6 (Lahore Road), Madni Garden Phase-7 (Gujranwala Road), Rahim Garden (Lahore Road), Motorway City (Gujranwala Road) and New Civil Line (Sargodah Road).

The record also included 17 schemes of TMA Ferozwala, District Sheikhupra which are Basit Town (Mouza Darghai Gill Qasim and Chak-38), Buksh Town (Mouza Bhullay Androon Kot Noor), Green Farm (Mouza Dhinga, Bansi Nagar and Khanuwal), Lahore Garden Phase-2 (Main Sharaqpure Road), New Lahore Garden (Main Sharaqpur Road), Gulshan-e-Dawood (Mouza Chak 41), Revenue Garden (Mouza Kallar), Royal View (Mouza Rana Bhatti), Syed Shah Jamal City (Ahdian Road), SA Garden Phase-I Extension (Main GT Road), SA Garden Phase-II Extension (Main GT Road), Ansaar Model City (Ahdian Road), Ahmed Garden (Main GT Road, Near Rana Town), Al-Mustafa Garden (Mouza Rana Bhatti, Main Sharaqpur Road), Premier Housing Scheme (Mouza Chak no. 43), Rehmat View (Main GT Road) and Azeem Garden Phase-III (Main Bazar, Ferozwala).

The record included five schemes of TMA Muridke, District Sheikhupura which are Hasmi Garden (Mouza Qila Maseeta behind Canal Rest House), Metro City (Mouza Noor Darash safish0, Model City Phase-I (GT Road), Model City Phase-II (Mouza Daukey), Garden City (GT Road Mouza Daukey) and one scheme of TMA Safdarabad, District Sheikupura is Hameed Garden.

The record included six schemes of TMA Shah Kot, District Nankana Sahib which are Saddique Sadiq (Chak No. 84, Safdarabad Road), Madina Park (Chak No. 84, Safdarabad Road), Elahi Garden (Chak No. 85, Lahore-Faisal Road), Madni Garden (Jaranwala Road), Rehman Garden (Lahore-Faisalabad Road, Chak No. 88 RB) and Shah Bukhari Town (Near Toll Plaza, Faisalabad Road Chak No. 84).

The record included 11 schemes of TMA Kasur, District Kasur which are Anmol Garden (Ferozpur Road, Mustafabad), Kasur Avenue (Qadiwind Road, Bagh-e-Kareem Road), Haji Park-II (Qadiwind Road), Green City (Near Bus Terminal Sadar Dewan Road), Haji Park (Kot Radha Kishen Kot Radha Kishan), Model City (Beroon Sadar Dewan Road), Qamar City (Exchange Road, Khudian Khas), Qasr-e-Shahi (Mouza Prem Nagar), Rehman City (Exchange Road, Khudian Khas), Sana Colony (Qila Sadar, Bagheer Singh, Changa Mouza Railway Station) and Sultan Villas (Main Rasulpur Road).

Two schemes of TMA Chunian, District Kasur are Kamal Model City (Hujra Road) and Green City Model H/S (Elahabad-Chunian Road) and one scheme of TMA Pattoki, District Kasur is Green Park City (Near Pattoki City). Sources said record of six schemes of Chounian Roan was also confiscated by LDA which are Iqra City (Narroki Road, Alama Road, Pattoki), Lala Park (Prani Pattoki (Khona) Road), Model City (Multan Road, Pattoki), Nawab City (By-Pass Mulan Road, Pattoki), Sheraz Town (Mouza Umerabad, Multan Road, Pattoki) and Insaf City Phase-II (Halla Road, Pattoki).

LDA spokesman said that development, advertisement and sale of plots in any private housing scheme prior to the LDA’s approval is prohibited and punishable under the law. He advised all prospective buyers of plots in any of above mention housing schemes/land sub-divisions not to purchase property in any scheme, until the scheme/land sub-division is approved by the LDA. He further advised the buyers/investors to get information about the legality of the housing scheme / land sub-division and status of plot(s) from LDA.
