Punjab Development Working Party (PDWP) Approves Four Major Development Projects


In a recent development, the Punjab Development Working Party (PDWP) has granted its approval to four significant development initiatives, encompassing projects related to public infrastructure, road networks, and bridge constructions. This decision was reported in a news source on October 25.

The estimated budget allocated for these projects is approximately PKR 3,965.796 million. The meeting was presided over by Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman, Iftikhar Ali Sahoo. Among the approved projects is the rehabilitation of a 28-kilometer road that connects Nankana Sahib to Shahkot, with an estimated cost of PKR 2,240.099 million.

During the meeting, the establishment of model e-registration offices at divisional headquarters in Punjab was also approved, with an allocated budget of PKR 603.98 million. Additionally, the PDWP has given the green light to the overhaul of Arazi Record Centers (ARCS) across Punjab, involving an investment of PKR 757.887 million. Furthermore, the revamping of sub-registrar's offices at divisional district headquarters in Punjab, with a financial allocation of PKR 363.830 million, was also approved.
