RAWALPINDI: The provincial government will soon announce a special package of one billion rupees for the development of Rawalpindi, a delegation of parliamentarians told business community on Saturday during its visit to Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). The delegation comprised Senator Najma Hameed, MNA Tahir Aurangzeb, MPAs Ziaullah Shah, Shahryar Riaz, Eng Qamaruz Zaman and former MPA Advocate Akhtar Mehmood. RCCI President Syed Asad Mashadi said the government should overcome energy crisis on priority basis for a rapid industrial and economic growth. Other RCCI members urged the parliamentarians to raise voice on the floor of assemblies for the resolution of problems like energy crisis and poor law and order. Senator Najama said all lawmakers hailing from Rawalpindi district were eager to extend support to the business community for development the city. MNA Tahir said current system of revenue and tax collection ought to be amended. staff report
