Water scarcity in Westridge, PIA colony, Allays colony and friends’ colony has become worst and their residents have been bound to get water tankers on hefty charges.
The residents of aforementioned areas informed that they are without water for last two weeks and they have informed cantonment office several times but to no avail.
Due to unavailability of water, they said, they are facing severe inconvenience. Even in holy month of Ramzan, they said, they are bound to fetch water from far-flung areas because it is difficult for them to purchase water tanker daily.
They demanded of the cantonment authorities to ensure supply of water immediately and duration of supply should be enhanced.
