District Government Begins Work On Restoration Project In Lahore
Lahore : District Government Begins Work On Restoration Project In LahoreFinally, The City District Government of Lahore has formally initiated the restoration work of four buildings of British era located on The Mall, under the Dilkash Lahore Project.
The buildings that are on the list for rehabilitation project include Ghulam Rasool building, Bava Dinga Singh building, Ahmad Mansion and NICL building. The Lahore DCO disclosed in a briefing that a sum of Rs100 million is allocated for the purpose under the CDGL’s annual development programme. A steering committee is also formulated to identify more buildings on The Mall and other roads of Lahore. The main objective of this project is to save the city’s heritage by rehabilitating such buildings. |
