MTS, other uplift schemes approved
LAHORE : THE Punjab government approved the scheme of Metro Bus Transit System for Lahore-Ferozepur Road Corridor construction of MTS from Taxali Chowk to Shahdara Morr (Package-V) length 3.3 km (Revised) on Wednesday with an estimated cost of Rs 2677.467 million.
Five development schemes of various sectors of the economy were also approved worth Rs 5239.996 million in the 19th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current financial year 2012-13. The moot was presided over by Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman Javaid Aslam. Secretary Planning & Development Punjab Arif Anwar Baloch, members of the P&D Board and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also participated in the meeting. These schemes included: Establishment of Project Management Unit (PMU) for Ghazi University at DG Khan, (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 44.459 million, Construction of District Jail, Pakpattan (Revised) at the cost of Rs 298.085 million, Construction of District Jail, Bhakkar (Revised) at the cost Rs 377.308 million, Improvement/Rehabilitation of existing Multan Road, Lahore from Thokar Niaz Baig to Chauburgi (Land Acquisition & Shifting of Utilities) (Revised) at the cost of Rs 3578.640 million and Remodelling and Extension of Tayyab Drain, District Rajanpur at the cost of Rs 941.504 million. |
