Rawalpindi: Emergency declared in city ahead of anticipapted flood in Nulla Leh
The city district government Tuesday declared emergency due to expected flood in Nulla Leh before the start of monsoon and all the civil bodies concerned were directed to be alert.
DCO Jamal Mustafa Syed told the agency that the city government had prepared a flood relief plan to save the people from possible destruction and provide a quick relief to affectees. All concerned bodies have been directed t take action according to the devised plan. Hr said that the Met department had forecasted a huge spell of rain in 24 hours due to which an emergency was declared in Rawalpindi. “The district government will concentrate to overcome flood.” The FWO had been advised to clean Nulla Leh to save the people from the possible loss.
