Lahore High Court bans Naseebo and her sister’s vulgar songs
LAHORE: Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has banned the exhibition and CDs of 41 vulgar songs of singer Naseebo Lal and her sister Nooran Lal. The judge, while hearing a petition against the exhibition of the vulgar songs, also called both sisters and a report from the Film Censor Board by May 31. The judge issued these directions on a petition by an advocate, Asim Mahmood. The petitioner said 41 songs sung by the sisters were vulgar and against the moral values of society. He asserted that the playing of these songs was also a violation of Section 294 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The petitioner produced the list and CDs of the songs and requested the court to ban them. He also requested that the two sisters be tried and sentenced under Section 294 of the PPC. staff report
