CM inspects Allama Iqbal Road.

Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif Wednesday inspected the extension project of Allama Iqbal Road early in the morning.



Member Provincial Assembly Mian Mohsin Latif, the commissioner and the district coordination officer (DCO) Lahore, the LDA director general, the WASA managing director and the officers of NESPAK, NLC and other departments were also present.



Informing about the pace of widening of the road, Lahore commissioner Jawad Rafique Malik said that the project was being monitored on daily basis so that it could be completed as soon as possible.



The chief minister issued directions to make Allama Iqbal Road one of the best city roads. Lane marking and reflectors sign boards should also be installed on the road, he added, ordering the beautification of the road through plantation of flowers.



The CM also issued orders to make the Railways overhead bridge at Dharampura Chowk attractive through the use of paint and colour.
