CDA officers face stay order on plot allotment

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a stay order against allotment of plots to officers working on deputation in the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Justice Shoukat Siddiqui heard the petition filed by a former officer in the CDA and issued the stay orders. The court was told that CDA officials made an amendment in the Land Disposal Regulation, permitting allotment of plots to the civic authority officers working on deputation. The officers join CDA on deputation and go back to their original departments after getting allotment of plots. According to earlier regulation, only regular officers with more than 10 years of service were allotted plots.
