Deadline for completion of half part of Mareer Chowk expansion project extended

RAWALPINID: Deadline for completion of half part of Mareer chowk expansion project has been extended upto July, 15.

Earlier Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) had announced deadlines twice including March, 31 and June, 30.

Traffic flow is being affected adversely due to delay in completion of the project. In the grilling heat the citizens have to wait for hours to cross the road.

Director General RDA Chaudhry Nasir Ahmad said that work for preparation of Railway Bridge is underway in a factory at Rawat and 40 percent of the work has been completed. First of all temporary bridge is connected and then it is set according to drawing. Bridge launching will be started by July, 31 and the bridge will be installed within 15 days, he added.
