CDA razes more illegal structures
Islamabad - The enforcement directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) continued its anti-encroachment campaign indiscriminately and carried out an operation in Dhoke Chora, sector F-12, and demolished five illegally constructed shops, four rooms and four illegally constructed boundary walls.
The teams of the directorate retrieved 2.5 kanals of CDA land from illegal occupants. During the operation, some miscreants resisted the operation but the enforcement directorate continued the operation and demolished all illegal constructions on CDA land. During another operation along the Kashmir Highway, enforcement directorate along with the staff of Roads Directorate closed illegally constructed approach roads connecting sector G-12 with Kashmir Highway and blocked one kilometre long road by erecting solid iron hurdles and barriers.
Similarly, during another operation, the enforcement directorate demolished one illegally constructed boundary wall on one kanal of CDA land in Muslim Colony, one boundary wall in Noori Bagh, one illegally constructed room adjacent to a government accommodation in sector G-6/1, one room in Katchi Abadi near Aam Saraey, sector G-7/3, one boundary wall constructed illegally on footpath and one illegally constructed boundary wall near Jhangi Syedan Bus Stop. Moreover, during the anti-encroachment operations in markets of sector G-10, I&T Centre and Chanab Market in sector G-7, the enforcement directorate removed encroachments and confiscated four truckloads of encroached material. Earlier, Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the enforcement directorate to continue this anti-encroachment operation on daily basis without any fear or favour until complete elimination of encroachments from the city so that Islamabad could further be beautified on modern lines. Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey trafficking has conducted another successful raid at Islamabad. According to details, successful raid against the grey operators was carried out along with FIA team at Millennium Heights F-11 Markaz, Islamabad. Team recovered two illegal VoIP exchanges comprising of 32 ports alongwith other equipment like SIMs, modem etc, 1 person was arrested and was in FIA custody for further investigation. The successful raids against the grey operators were made possible because of continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts by PTA in curbing the menace of grey traffic thus curtailing the loss to the national exchequer because of grey traffickers in the country.
