Karachi: Durrani directs Lyari Development Authority to remove encroachments

KARACHI: Local Government Sindh Minister Agha Siraj Durrani directed the high-ups of the Lyari Development Authority (LDA) to clear each and every encroachment established on LDA without any fear. The minister, LDA Director General Agha Maqsood Abbas, MNA Qadir Patel and LDA officers paid a detailed visit to all 42 sectors of the scheme and appreciated LDA’s development work that improve civic facilities for the land owners. “The government will not allow any encroachment on LDA land,” said the minister. During the visit, he also identified a site near the Y junction on Hawkesbay Road where a monument will be constructed in the memory of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. staff report
