Witnesses identify cops in minor girl’s murder case

KARACHI: Two witnesses on Wednesday appeared before Judicial Magistrate, East, Karachi, Malik Muhammad Akhtar, and identified police constables Bashir Ahmed and Noor Muhammad as the culprits responsible for the murder case of a three-year-old girl, Sana.

Witnesses, Yasin and Mughair, identified them during an identification parade.

Witness Yasin, a neighbour testified he was returning home after offering prayer on July 6, 2009 when he saw accused holding a bag. It was same bag from which body of girl was recovered later. Witness Mughair, a resident of area, testified that he saw the accused going somewhere with the girl on July 5, 2009 after which she went missing.

The judicial magistrate recorded the statements of the prosecution witnesses under Section 164 of the CrPC. ppi
