Clocks to be reverted by one hour from Nov 1

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to revert clocks by one hour from November 1, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.

The channel, quoting the Interior Ministry, reported that clocks would be turned back by one hour at midnight on October 31.

The government, implementing the daylight saving system, had advanced clocks by one hour at midnight on April 1.

According to sources in the Water and Power Ministry, the measure had helped save 200 to 250 megawatts of electricity daily.

The sources said the decision to apply the same system next year would be taken after considering the country’s power situation at the time. app
