Karachi: Commander 5 Corps visits DHA City

Commander 5 Corps and President Executive Board, Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Lt Gen Shahid Iqbal paid a visit to the DHA City project site on Super Highway on Friday. Administrator DHA, Brig Khalid Tirmizi, was also present on the occasion. The upcoming residential-cum-commercial project is being developed by the DHA.

The Corps Commander directed the DHA to take measures for bringing the DHA City in loop of the main junction railway track and for inclusion of the area in future city mega plan. He also asked the DHA to take immediate welfare and goodwill measures by developing healthcare, education and community welfare facilities for the locals and natives of the area.

The Corps Commander on the occasion was shown a Hybrid Control Renewable Energy project comprising of solar panels and wind turbine generating enough electricity to meet the power requirements of a small office complex with the load of a few fans, lights and air-conditioner.
