Lahore: Lahore Development Authority launched a grand anti- encroachment operation along both sides of Satukatla drain for the purpose of restoring green belt, here, Wednesday.
The action which was kicked off from Akbar Chock Moulana Shoukat Ali Road will culminate near Madr-e-Millat Road, Quaid-e-Azam Town within the next three days.
Staff of the Enforcement and Estate Management Directorates of LDA, with the assistance of local police, carried out the operation by using heavy machinery and removed as many as ten workshops, twenty five building material stories and a large number of concrete structures that had been illegally set up on the state land. The operation will continue today as well.
