* Punjab CM urges PM to convey his apology to PPP leadership

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has telephoned Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and regretted the negative statements issued by a PML-N leader against Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a private TV channel reported on Thursday.
Shahbaz expressed regret over PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique’s statement in which he used provoking remarks against the PPP founder. He also requested the PM to convey his apology to the PPP leadership. Shahbaz also assured the PM that he would inquire into the matter and appropriate steps would be taken to assuage the sentiments of PPP workers, who were left upset at Saad’s remarks.
