ISLAMABAD - Pir Syed Karam Ali Shah has been appointed as Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan on the advice of the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Pir karam Ali Shah is a veteran politician, who was first elected unopposed as member of the Northern Areas Advisory Council in 1970.
Later on he joined Pakistan Peoples Party in 1972. Till to date he is the member NA Council, NA Legislative Assembly.
Pir Syed karam Ali Shah has been appointed governor Gilgit-Baltistan after Dr Shama Khalid who died on Sept 15, 2010.
