Lahore International Book Fair opens tomorrow - Lahore_Real_Estate - 02-02-2012 12:36 PM
LAHORE: The 26th Annual Lahore International Book Fair will be open for all from February 3 to 7.
Lahore International Book Fair Trust (LIBFT) and the Pankistan Publishers and Booksellers Association (PPBA) are conducting the event. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the event on Friday. The 26th edition of the book fair will be the largest event of its kind in Pakistan and will feature publishers and booksellers from across Pakistan as well as USA, UK, Singapore, Turkey, Germany and India. Punjab Textbook Board will also be marking its 50th anniversary by organising various competitions such as speech, painting and essay-writing. On this occasion, the Deutsche Welle radio and TV will launch their official Urdu website for Deutsche Welle Urdu Service. Deutsche Welle has been a participant of the book fair since last year and to participate in the 26th edition of the event and launch the website, a high-level delegation of Deutsche Welle is arriving from Germany.
