Lahore Property News : 30 kanals retrieved in Harbanspura
LAHORE, March 15: A special team of the Shalimar Town on Thursday retrieved around 30-kanal state land worth Rs100 million from land grabbers in various parts of Harbanspura during the ongoing anti-encroachment drive.
The team, led by Town Administrator Shahid Hasan Kaliani, retrieved 20 kanals adjacent to Dial Houses, six kanals on main Canal Road and four kanals in a residential locality.
“The people had occupied the land by constructing walls, rooms, marriage halls and mud houses. We issued warnings to the grabbers many a times asking them to vacate the land, but to no avail,” the town administrator told Dawn.
He said the land grabbers first occupied the land and then sold it in the form of plots. He said the town administration was planning to retrieve many pieces of state land from the people who had constructed houses and buildings there.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Encroachment Cell of the Lahore Development Authority demolished an under-construction building on a 10-marla plot being built unlawfully.
The team demolished the entire structure and walls in B-block of the LDA Avenue near Bhopatyan Chowk on Raiwind Road
