Govt to uplift rural areas of Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: On the direction of the Prime Minister, the government would allocate special funds to overcome the deprivation of the rural areas and upgrade them in accordance with the sectoral areas of the Federal Capital.

These areas have been neglected during the successive regimes. The rural areas of Islamabad would be provided with the basic facilities like clean drinking water, electricity and gas at the earliest to bring them at par with the sectoral areas of the city to improve the level of living.

Chairman Prime Minister's Task Force on Islamabad, Faisal Sakhi Butt during visit of the rural areas of the city including Shams Colony, Golra Morr and Jhang Saiyedan Friday assured that the residents of the areas would be provided clean drinking water, the facility of grave yard and the NOC for the railway line. He said that to resolve these issues on priority, the task force would take up the matter with the concerned quarters including the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and other organizations for a prompt action.

During the public processions the notable of these areas including Malik Javed, Shahzad Khan, Ghulam Mustafa, Malik Abid of Suleman Town, Asad Shah, Syed Wazahat Hussain Shah, Asad Abbas, Ishtiaq Shah, Shahid Abbas, Samar Shah, Khawar Shah and others were also present.

He said that those elected from this constituency in the past have totally ignored the people after the election. He said that he would first solve problems of the people as the development of the area is his priority not the votes. He said that CDA and the ICT Administration should involve the locals of the areas for envisaging the development projects. He said that no lethargy on the part of the concerned organizations would be tolerated in this regard.[/align]
