LDA to prepare development plan-2035 - Salman - 07-24-2012 05:29 PM LDA to prepare development plan-2035 LAHORE, July 23: The City District Government of Lahore has assigned the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to prepare the ‘Integrated Strategic Development Plan for Lahore Region-2035. The plan will have regional focus which will include short as well as long-term strategies/policies, actions and financing plans, said an LDA spokesman here on Monday. According to him, the interested international firms having adequate and relevant experience in the regional planning and preparation of master and strategic plans have been asked to apply for pre-qualification in this regard. The international firms with presence in Pakistan or having joint venture/consortia with local partners will be preferred, he said. The spokesman said the detailed TORs (Terms of Reference) and RFQ (Request for Qualification) documents could be downloaded from http://www.lda.gop.pk and http://www.urbanunit.gov.pk. He said hard copies of completed RFQ along with required documents would be received in the office of LDA’s Chief Metropolitan Planner Waseem Ahmad Khan at 476-D-II, Main Boulevard Johar Town by Aug 27, 2012. DEPUTED: The district coordination officer deputed on Monday three sub-registrars to check hoarding in various towns of the city. The DCO deputed registrar Mubasharur Rehman in Ravi Town, Asif Shah in Aziz Bhatti Town and Tahira Akram in Nishtar Town. He directed the officers to make every effort to control hoarding in their respective towns during Ramazan. RAIDS: Various CDGL/Towns monitoring teams, led by price control magistrates, conducted 216 raids and challaned 33 shopkeepers for violating government instructions. The teams also imposed a fine of Rs35,000 on various shopkeepers. The teams also got registered cases against five vendors. SUGAR: Since the start of Ramazan, at least 73,750kg sugar and 79,604 flour bags (10kg each) have been sold to people at subsidized rates in all Ramazan bazaars.
