Modern traffic signals vital for smooth traffic flow’
LAHORE: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sohail Chaudhry said on Wednesday that introduction of the latest technology in traffic signals is vital to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city. Talking to APP, he said it was need of the hour to use the latest technology for traffic signals “which could be operated manually by traffic wardens for the smooth flow of traffic”. The CTO said that City Traffic Police have launched a number of services, including a complaint cell, which redresses the grievances of people and takes notice against traffic wardens who do not fulfill their duties. Sohail urged the public not to violate traffic rules and park their vehicles only at parking lots to avoid traffic mess. He demanded that the government make the promotion board committee effective for the promotion of traffic wardens
