KMC, KDA land department record to be computerised - Salman - 03-09-2013 06:03 PM KARACHI – Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has directed the IT Department to computerize all the records pertaining to KMC and KDA Land Department and also secure the documents through scanning. He said the Rising Karachi Program and Citizens Complaints Management System 1339 must also be made more comprehensive and effective so that citizens could avail more benefits from these programs. He was addressing a meeting of IT Department which was attended by IT Director Masood Alam and other directors. On the occasion, Karachi Administrator directed to install tracking system in KMC vehicles specially fire tenders, ambulances, city warden mobiles and garbage lifting vehicles so that all information about their whereabouts and locations could be ascertain. He also directed the IT Department to release the non technical staff deputed at IT Department from other departments and exchange the staff with trained employees and instructed to take measures for operating various computer programs through its own staff which were presently outsourced to different companies. Administrator Karachi said that as the measure would save millions of rupees so it must be adopted by April this year. He said the officers and lower staff of the IT Department must be trained so that their professional abilities could be enhanced. Meanwhile, the Administrator was also briefed about the present and future projects of the IT Department. He directed the officers to implement all the projects with honesty so that citizens could avail better benefits of these projects. |
