Approval For Property Survey In Punjab, 5 Marla Houses Exempt For Tax - Salman - 04-27-2013 01:51 PM
In a recent cabinet meeting, the caretaker Chief Minister, Najam Sethi, gave approval for a new property survey in the Punjab. Moreover, the decision for continuing the tax exemption on 5 Marla houses was also taken. People will be updated through newspapers before the commencement of the survey.
Excise & Taxation Secretary and Housing Secretary gave briefings on the respective concerns of Property Taxes and WASA in the meeting. Najam Sethi mentioned in the meeting that it is important to conduct the survey for estimating the property values. Sethi extrapolated that there is a need of enhancing tenancy laws and he ordained for the practical implementation of laws. He also stated that 5 Marla houses would continue to enjoy tax exemption.
