Sunday brought no relief to the tax defaulters as well as the ETO’s as the crackdown on tax defaulters continued. The Excise and taxation department officers carried on with their duty on the holiday and sealed 47 properties of defaulters who couldn’t pay the due property tax.
Many tax defaulters in the heat of the moment paid the due amounts and signed cheques to save their properties and themselves form further humiliation and worry.
