Punjab government approves projects worth Rs 3379 million - Salman - 10-19-2013 01:01 PM
The Punjab Government on Monday approved 12-development schemes of various sectors of the economy with an estimated cost of Rs 3378.923 million. These schemes were approved in the 13th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14, presided over by Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board's Chairman Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
The approved development schemes included:
1. Survey, Documentation and Preparation of Master Plan for Development & Conservation of the Historical Town of Satgarah District Okara (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 3.383 million,
2. Project for Citizen Engagement and Public Perception Analysis for Improving Governance and Service Delivery in Punjab (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 60.00 million,
3. Automated Fare Collection and Bus Scheduling System for MBS (Revised) at the cost of Rs 672.202 million,
4. Establishment of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sharqpur Sharif District Sheikhupura at the cost of Rs 236.31 million,
5. Establishment of 100 Bedded State of Art Treatment Centre for Drug Addicts at Punjab Institute of Mental Health Lahore at the cost of Rs 221.314 million,
6. Establishment of Fatima Jinnah Burn & Reconstructive Surgery Centre, Lahore (Revised) (issue),
7. Lahore Ring Road (Package-12A) Construction of Underpass at Bhaini Road on Ring Road Lahore (Revised) at the cost of Rs 444.232 million,
8. Lahore Ring Road (Package-3C) Construction of Underpass at Karol Ghatti on Ring Road Lahore (Revised) at the cost of Rs 554.199 million,
9. Widening / Improvement of Feeding Road from Sammundri to Qutab Shahana Bridge, length 31.80 km, District Faisalabad at the cost of Rs 620.176 million;
10. Widening / Improvement of Khushab Muzaffar Garh Road Section from 18-Hazari to Adda Daina More km No 141.68 to 179.73 length 38.05 km, District Jhang at the cost of Rs 600.539 million,
11. Jalalpur Canal Project: (a) Construction of Jalalpur Canal (by Irrigation Deptt) (b) Command Area Development of Jalalpur Canal (by Agriculture Deptt) (Concept Paper) and;
12. Construction of Metalled Road from Bahwalpur-Hasilpur Road at Km No 14 to Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Lal Sohnara via Chak No 5/BC (length=9.00 km) (Revised) at the cost of Rs 410.124 million.
