A notice has been issued by the Chief Minister office to include the three districts of Lahore division – Sheikhupura, Nankana and Kasur in the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
MNA Mian Javaid LAtif has issued this statement while talking to the media. He further told that the Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs350 million for carrying out mega projects in Sheikhupura.
Three underpasses would be constructed on Sargodha Road near National Model School, Ghazi Minara and on Gujranwala Road. The MNA said that buildings, commercial centres on both sides of the main Lahore-Sargodha Road would be demolished with the consent of traders for the widening of road. Other thoroughfares including Sarwar Shaheed Road and Stadium Road would also be widened.
The greenbelt on the Sharqpur Chowk would be developed with the collaboration of the Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA). The authority would also develop greenbelts on both sides of all city roads after widening of these thoroughfares.
