Metro Bus Project Committee (MBPC) Chairman Hanif Abbasi has said that Metro Bus Service will be launched fully in January 2015.

He said that 24-kilometere long service will be fully signal-free and this project has been delayed due to sit-ins. It will be completed fully in January, 2015 and bus service will be plied on routes accordingly. He said that 68 buses made in Sweden will be plied and these will be fully air conditioned. Its fare from Rawalpindi to Islamabad and back will be only Rs 20 which is far less than the fare of public transport. The project will cost Rs 44 billion.
