KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $9.339 billion on December 23, 2008, up by $244 million from previous week's level of $9.095 billion, it was learnt on Thursday. Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at $6.129 billion, higher by $934 million from previous week's level of $5.195 billion. Net foreign reserves held by banks (other than SBP) stood at $3.209 billion, higher by $30 million from previous week's level of $3.179 billion. staff report
