RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices to three marketing companies for advertising illegal housing schemes.
According to an RDA spokesman, the companies include Sky Marketing, Ghafari Marketing, and Wirasat.com.
The Director General of RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, has stated that advertising housing schemes that do not have legal approval from RDA is in violation of the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.
RDA only allows the marketing and advertisement of housing schemes that have received technical approval under Rule 24(3) of the same rules.
It is important to note that without an NOC from RDA, a project cannot be considered legal or approved.
The spokesman also said that the marketing and projection of such illegal projects deceive the general public into thinking that the project is already approved and legal.
He added that the DG RDA has instructed to remove all the material of these illegal schemes and warned that in case of non-compliance, RDA reserves the right to take strict action against these marketing companies as per the law.
