Overhead bridge installed on 9th Avenue - Naveed Yaseen - 07-19-2008 08:18 AM
The Capital Development Authority has installed an overhead bridge on 9th Avenue to facilitate pedestrians of I-8 and I-9 sectors.
An official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) told APP that 27 overhead bridges would be installed on different avenues to facilitate the pedestrians.
He said CDA was committed to provide latest facilities to the residents and many other developments projects are underway including parks, playgrounds and footpaths.
A resident Ahmad Khan of I-8 told APP that now “we can easily cross the avenue and before this overhead bridge it was risky to cross the road specially for women and children”.
He lauded the authorities for installation of overhead bridge.
Sami Shah a resident of I-9 appreciating the overhead bridge said that my children are studying in a school in I-8 and before the installation of the bridge he was concerned about their safety, but now I am satisfied”. He urged that authorities to build more similar bridges on all crossing points of the sectors to avoid any incident.
