Rawalpindi: The Rawal Town Municipal Administration (TMA) has decided to launch a grand operation for eliminating encroachments completely, imposing fine on encroachers and not returning the confiscated equipments, following the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed. TMA sources told Online here Sunday that the staff of TMA and other concerned would make surprising visits to the bazaars under the supervision of TMO Irfan Salim Butt and would store the equipments of encroachers after confiscation that would not be returned at any cost. It may be mentioned here that TMA had sent challans of 350 encroachers to special judicial magistrate Ahmad Masood, and they were fined up to Rs533,000. The administration has asked the shopkeepers to end the encroachments on their own in the interest of the citizens.
