LAHORE: The Governor General of Khurasan (Iran), Muhammadi Zada has announced investment in trade and industrial sectors in Punjab besides underscoring the need for cooperation at university level in education and research sectors. According to a handout issued on Wednesday, the governor general announced this while addressing a reception hosted in honor of Punjab CM, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and his delegation. He said that Khurasan would launch joint venture in Punjab in agriculture, irrigation, pharmaceutical and tourism sectors. He said that Iran had already issued instructions to educationists and concerned authorities in that regard. Paying tributes to Allama Iqbal, he said that Pakistanis and Iranians hold him in equal respect. staff report
