PESHAWAR: Police have not submitted a report on the suicide attack on the Pearl Continental Hotel in Peshawar so far, but the involvement of an ‘insider’ is likely, NWFP senior minister Bashir Bilour said on Wednesday. Talking to reporters, he said the terrorists could not have entered the compound without the support of a hotel employee. He said the incident was not a security lapse because the NWFP was in a war. He said the people behind the attack were the same as those creating unrest in Swat and Waziristan, and the purpose of the attack was to give foreigners the impression that law and order in Peshawar was poor. staff report
