LAHORE: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) announced on Tuesday it would beautify 32 major roads of the city by planting trees and flowers along their greenbelts. A large number of gardeners were working to beautify the city by planting new varieties of trees and flowers, PHA spokesman Javed Shaida told journalists on Tuesday. He said a greenbelt on Walton Road had been cleared of garbage ahead of plantation to ensure the area was clean. He said nearby factories had been using the greenbelt as a waste disposal site prior to the cleanup. PHA employees are also working to beautify Ferozepur Road, the spokesman said. staff report
