LAHORE: The River Indus is in flood and has started changing its course, potentially threatening the embankments near Khairpur, a private TV channel reported on Wednesday. According to the channel, if the embankment breaks, several parts of the Khairpur district could be flooded. Talking to the channel, Kot Mir Muhammad union council nazim said they would have to face a major disaster if the water started to move towards Khairpur city. daily times monitor
