KARACHI (September 13 2009): Gold prices on Saturday embarked on a new historic high of Rs 30,700 per tola up by Rs 200 from previous record high of Rs 30,500, traders said. Gold was available at Rs 26,314 per 10 grams after rising by Rs 172 from its previous record high of Rs 26,142. On the global scenario, the precious metal posted a rise of $6 per ounce to $1,006.
