FIR filed against Musharraf for Bugti’s murder - Naveed Yaseen - 10-14-2009 08:32 AM
LAHORE: Dera Bugti police on Tuesday registered a first information report (FIR) against former president Gen ® Pervez Musharraf for the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti, Dunya TV reported.
On October 7, the Balochistan High Court ordered the registration of a case against Musharraf, former premier Shaukat Aziz, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former Balochistan chief minister Jam Yousuf.
The channel quoted a source as saying that police had registered the FIR on the complaint of the deceased’s son Jamil Akbar Bugti.
Sources also told the channel that NWFP Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani would also be interrogated under Section 248 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) once he completed his tenure.
