Islamabad Lake View Park attracts visitors
Lake View Park has a lot of attraction for people, especially families, during the holidays to enjoy free time, as people from different areas of the country visit the Park.
According to Roya Sanam, a visitor, “The Park has become an ideal picnic point, especially for those, who want to have some happy moments with their families after spending a busy week.” The park is attracting all kinds of people, including students. “The Lake View Park is really a tremendous place for enjoyment. After spending a hectic day, I rush towards it and become fresh after spending only a few moments here,” said Aftab, a student. Many visitors said the Park is a good addition along with other existing recreational sites in the capital like Daman-e-Koh, Pir Sohawa, Shakarparian, Pakistan Monument, Rawal Dam, Shahdra Park, Simly Dam and Fatima Jinnah Park. Rawal Lake is an artificial reservoir that fulfils the water needs of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The artificial lake covers an area of 8.8km and is located within an isolated section of the Margalla Hills National Park |
