LDA set to launch computerised attendance system
LAHORE (October 15, 2010) : In another step towards introducing corporate culture in its functioning, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is all set for launching computerised attendance system for its employees of all ranks and cadres.
According to a LDA's spokesman here on Thursday, special computer software has been prepared for ensuring timely attendance as well as strict observance of office hours by the employees of LDA, with a view to transforming it into a vibrant public service organisation. The system would be launched very soon; office identity cards with computerised bar code have been issued to more than 90 percent employees of LDA. Gadgets required for registering attendance through these cards have also been installed in LDA offices for this purpose. Meanwhile, the LDA has recently established a one-window cell in its office situated at Johar Town for speedy disposal of public matters where all relevant officials have been seated under one roof. Issuance of security featured ownership documents for safeguarding proprietary rights of the owners of plots situated in LDA housing schemes, has also been started by the authority a few days ago. |
