LDA to lease out 18 petrol pump sites

LAHORE - Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to lease out about 18 petrol pump sites in order to arrange resources required for the provision of quality infrastructure, construction of roads and other development projects, planned for the City.
This was disclosed by a spokesman of Punjab government on Sunday. He said such petrol pump sites would be leased out under Land Disposal Act 1998 through an open auction on December 28.
LDA leased out such sites to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Shell Pakistan for three years against nominal amounts but later such companies sublet these sites to dealers illegally, which were causing huge loss to national exchequer, he further added.
