Wahdat Colony dwellers want property rights
LAHORE - The Action Committee for Ownership Rights of Wahdat Colony (ACOR) demanded of the Punjab Government to announce property rights to the residents of the colony.
Officebearers of ACOR including Syed Wasim Shah Chairman, Sanaullah Khan, Senior Vice Chairman, Asif A Sheikh General Secretary, MPA Amna Buttar and others addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club protested against the Punjab government’s dillydallying over awarding ownership rights to the residents of the Colony. They said that 2000 quarters were built about 55 years ago and the Punjab Government had to spend millions of rupees every year on the repair of these quarters. The engineering department had declared the maximum age of these quarters not more than 40 years that had expired in 1996, they asserted. |
