253 plots distributed in Bahawalpur Under Punjab Apna Ghar Apna Baag project
Bahawalpur (July 3, 2012) – Under the Apna Ghar Apna Baag project, 253 plots of 2-kanal were distributed to the poor and homeless people of Chak-151/DB Yazman here the other day. Punjab Apna Ghar Apna Baag Project Chairman Justice ® Khaleelur Rehman Khan, Punjab Minister for Prisons Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, MNA Saood Majeed, DCO Dr Naeem Rauf attended distribution ceremony held here the other day. On the occasion, Project Chairman said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had initiated the project for the down-trodden and low-income groups of the district. He said that the project would be unparallel in quality in contrast to any other similar scheme. “The government is according importance to women through Apna Ghar Apna Baag Project and named both husband and wife as the owner so they can live together,” he added. He further said that according to the project, 5 marla for the living and 35 marlas for the work place and Rs15,000 with the plot would be given by the Punjab government. First instalment of Rs5,000 were given to them so they could start work instantly. Addressing the ceremony, Punjab Minister for Prisons Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said that the establishment of Apna Ghar Apna Baag Project was an important step towards transformation of the country into welfare state in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. While MNA Saood Majeed appreciated the Punjab CM vision and said that 138 plots of 2 kanals given to the poor people of 151/DB, adding that making these people skilful was a revolutionary step by CM Shahbaz Sharif. “Giving the ownership rights to the kachi abadi residents is a great step of the Punjab CM. Now, the homeless people will be able to earn their livelihood through Apna Ghar Apna baag Project”, he said. |
