CDA approves 90 acres of land for Islamabad District Jail
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved the allotment of 90 acres of land in Sector H16, for the construction of Islamabad District Jail. The approval of the allotment was given in a meeting presided over by CDA Chairman Syed Shahbaz. CDA Planning and Design Member Syed Mustafin Kazmi briefed the meeting on the case. According to sources, the district administration of Islamabad had paid Rs 72 million to the CDA, to acquire land for the jail. The role of allotment scrutiny committee was also discussed in the meeting. The board wished to be further briefed on the scrutiny of allotments of agro farms, for approval in the next meeting.The board members agreed that the role of property dealers should be minimised and plots should be allotted to people on merit |
