Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday stated that the government is preparing a five year plan and to put the country on the path of sustainable development.

Addressing a news conference along with Malaysian Minister Dato Sri Idris Jala, Ahsan Iqbal said "we want to learn lessons from the success stories of Malaysia and other friendly countries to make these plans implementable and successful".

He added that both Pakistan and Malaysia have agreed to continue engagements and cooperation in order to reform and improve the service delivery of the public
sector.

He regretted that no proper planning was done during the last fourteen years for energy sector. He however, was confident that with the emergence of
